Spectral Sounds Volume 003 is a dope selection of soul, boogie, disco and funk breaks as sampled in classic house and broken beat tracks. This mix has been put together by one of our favourite house DJ's and producers, Lay-Far.

Lay-Far has recently put out an album on Glenview Records Inc featuring guest appearances by Pete Simpson, Souled, Dragon and Vicky Flint amongst others. Several years in the making this debut LP has gained wide spread support by DJ's such as Rainer Truby and Osunlade for its high level of production and its modern take on jazz and electronic fusion.

Domu "A D60 Mixtape (1999)"

  • Electronica
  • Drum & Bass
  • Broken
  • 1h 00m
This mix was archived from the original D60 that it was recorded to back in 1999 by Dominic Stanton (Domu, Sonar Circle, Umod, Zoltar etc). It was handed around to friends and like minded music heads in the Bedford area.

This is the first time it has been available online and gives an early glimpse into the origins of a style that was to become his DJ trademark. Jazz blends with hip hop, disco and drum and bass to form an eclectic mix of styles that delivers surprises and lost forgotten gems .

Dominic's new Bandcamp site is open here:
A guest mix we made for the Nutriot blog. You can read a short interview and notes on the mix here:
