Terry Nova of Dj4Life & head of Shackarone Entertainment has built a strong following for himself amongst 20-somethings from all over New York City. Mixing tech-house, deep house, & techno this up-and-comer brings lots of energy and determination to the proceedings.

Growing up writing and spinning hip hop has given Terry a much wider scope on music. When he was younger he dreamed of becoming a big hip hop artist, but as times changed, so did rap music. During his first year at SUNY Albany he was introduced to the house music scene by his good friend John Connolly. Prior to this Terry had only owned a few mixes from exit and factory; so a whole new world of music opened up to him. He had found the perfect genre & knew it was time to take the talents he had learned from hip hop & try to transpose it to house music. Switching over was hard, but about two years later he knew he was ready. In 2007 Terry left upstate to build a career in the place he had dreamed about as a kid, NYC.

A few month after living in NYC fellow DJ Dave Turk introduced Terry to Ableton. Looking to be a pioneer, he embraced technology, no matter how many people were against it. Ableton has allowed him to go beyond simply mixing tracks to creating live productions. This versatility keeps you on your toes every time you hear him spin. Nova stated that "There's more to DJ'ing then just playing a bunch of good songs. You need to master the art of mixing, progression, and create a style all your own. So many DJ's want a piece of the limelight, they are missing the love & passion." Terry will always have a piece of soul in his heart and makes sure this always shows in the songs he selects. He has spun at some of the top clubs such as Pacha, Park West, Sullivan Room, & Glo with the industries best dj's such as Robbie Rivera, Hermanez, Deadmau5, ect. He has been a big supporter of the house music scene for many years & is now ready to bringing his own flavor to the mix.
