Systematic Sessions
If you’re into modern dance music ranging between Deep, Tech and Electro House and Detroit influenced Techno, then Systematic Recordings most likely has caused some of your magic clubbing moments in the past years. The well-respected German label, founded by global player and experienced label manager Marc Romboy in 2004, has released dozens of triumphant club pearls from artists such as Mr. Romboy himself, Stephan Bodzin, Blake Baxter, Robert Babicz, Chelonis R. Jones, John Dahlbäck and Spirit Catcher to name only a few. Apart from the label and its associated booking department, Systematic Recordings also has its own exclusive radio show.

SYSTEMATIC SESSIONS is not your average label podcast! It’s even far more than standard-setting podcast business. In fact the show serves you one hour of DJ-mixed up-to-date records on a weekly basis and is hosted by Marc Romboy in person, who welcomes special international guest jockeys with exclusive mixes every second week. Systematic Sessions was launched Spring 2009 and has broadcasted a considerable amount of over 60 shows since then already, with the big 75th anniversary rapidly approaching.

Systematic Session #155 mixed by Satoshi Tomiie

Systematic Session #155 mixed by Satoshi Tomiie

Satoshi Tomiie is Japan’s most successful DJ. His reputation for crafting meticulous club rhythms led to him remixing some of pop’s biggest names including U2, Mariah Carey, Photek, Simply Red, and David Bowie.

Satoshi also runs SAW Recordings with Hector Romero, and has continued to refine the Chicago and New York City house blueprint over the last 10 years. A fine supporter of new producers, SAW most recently has championed a new generation of European-based house talent including Audiofly, Doomwork, Mabaan Soul, Tuccillo, and Guti.

In 2012, after a two-year absence from music production (Satoshi used the time to build a dream music studio in his NYC apartment), Tomiie is set to return with a whole new DJ sound, new singles, and remixes. His first offering is an 11 minute twisted piano house remix of Guti’s ‘Keep It’. The release is being supported by respected DJs and producers across the board including Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Reboot, Adam Port, Lee Burridge, 2000 And One, SIS, and Davide Squillace.

And this Saturday the 25th, Satoshi is to headline HOLIC's 5th Birthday in London. Do check out the event if you're around: http://bit.ly/xhSUzP
