Sonar
SONAR is one of the few festivals with major repercussions on an international scale. Created in 1994 by Sergio Caballero, Enric Palau and Ricard Robles, SONAR is the perfect meeting point for the public, artists and professionals to get together and be in touch with the latest trends in music and cutting edge art. A unique event, with takes place in Barcelona every year the second week-end of June, both urban and cosmopolitan.

Although SONAR dedicates most of its programming to concerts and DJ's, the rest of its activities (multimedia exhibitions, cinema, conferences and debates...) have a direct link with the creation of music whether it be through their implicit subject matter or through its co-existence with other artistic disciplines. The combination of these diverse activities, and in particular, SonarMatica, the multimedia area, are the fundamental ingredients that give character, variety and a unique personality to the festival.

The international projection of the festival draws participants from more than 40 countries and attracts more than 350 journalists amplifying the SONAR contents worldwide.

Quiet Village
After three highly sought-after singles for the Whatever We Want label and several remixes for Gorillaz, Francois K and Cosmo Vitelli, Quiet Village step out of the shadows to present "Silent Movie", their first LP. Consisting of the music lover Joel Martin and the rising dance star Matt Edwards (aka Radio Slave), Quiet Village (who are named after the cult LP by Martin Denny) give a modern edge to an old sound and vice versa. It is an intelligent melange of Italian soundtracks, BBC archives and exotica, dusted off from the back of the mind.
