Cinch (Cam Smith), one half of Canada's Inkwell, debut’s his solo effort “Climax Control” the third EP from the Danksoul Recordings imprint. The EP’s title track “fourtyfive” is a bassline driven skipper that walks a line between minimal and modern house music. Perlon mainstay Dandy Jack remixes “fourtyfive” into a whirlwind of mechanical soul and chopped up vocals, painting a uniquely Dandy signature with Cinch’s captivating sonic story. Cinch rounds off “Climax Control” with “Mow” a heart-wrenching piece that will take listeners on a roller coaster of emotions, ending in a serene and peaceful place that warms the heart.
We present you with a small teaser from a recent Cinch live set.
