The spiritual home of rave culture in the UK, Manchester is a city that has deep roots into dance music culture in the UK. The Warehouse Project is attempting to relive some of the late 80's acid house hedonism, in it's native industrial setting, over 12 weeks of events from now until new year.
De La Soul, Francois K + Derrick May, Public Enemy, A Guy Called Gerald and a whole heap of other heavyweight names will provide the entertainment from Oct until the finale on new years day with a special set from Laurent Garnier and 2many DJs.
This week on samurai though we have recordings from the night Detroit took over the main hall with Manchester's very own Mr Scruff opening up to performances from Los Hermanos live band who were on a short European tour before heading back to the US to record a new album out early next year, Suburban Knight playing MPC + CDJ with live drummer and a DJ set from DJ 3000.
