RUFF STUFF (SixBux)

Ruff Stuff was once a small child named Leigh Swindells. He was a strange and lonely boy, only befriending the stupidest of children in his age group and achieving very little worthy of mention. Sadly, it wasn't long before something all too familiar happened to this dimwitted boy from the ghetto-slum village of Brisbane, Australia. He discovered sex, drugs and worst of all, electronic music. This lead him down a rabbit-hole from which there was no return, and unfortunately, over time he gradually transformed into the heinous creature he is today, known simply as 'Ruff Stuff'.

It was these early mistakes that began a series of hideous lifestyle choices which left him in the depraved state he finds himself now. Today we find Ruff Stuff's only source of pleasure is found in brutalizing the eardrums of himself and others with horribly abusive frequencies consisting of broken, twitching, wobbling masses of Broken Beats and Bass. As a result, his head now mainly consists of noodles and glitter and his chances of recovery are slim to none. Although surprisingly he can still manage to press buttons as masterfully as the best in electronic music field and has actually become well respected as somewhat of a novelty act.

Over the years Ruff Stuff's popularity as a "class clown" or "village idiot"-type music performer has lead him to support some of the biggest names in electronic music including: Tipper, Bassnectar, Heyoka, Benga & Skream, Monolake, Eprom, Audiovoid, Nam Shub of Enki, Artifakt, Mark Henning, Dov, An-Ten-Nae, iLL Gates and many more, at events of all sizes, right across Australia.

He has also managed to create a company of his own with co-conspiritor and all-round strange character Liam 'Moista Cloista' Niko. The organisation is known as SixBux and appears to be an Australian-based record label and production company. SixBux is exposing people all around the globe to new forms of electronic music and is actually poised to become a major contender in the industry as it nurtures, develops and promotes some of Australia's most talented young artists. As part of his roll as Co-Owner & Manager at SixBux Productions, Ruff Stuff is keenly involved in artist scouting and development, touring & event organisation, music production and artist management. So really, it just goes to show that anyone can achieve their dreams despite their lack of talent, good looks or intelligence.
