Poker Flat Recordings
Poker Flat is the minimal tech-house label of the outstanding Berlin artist Steve Bug, who alone is responsible for the A&R section. The imprint was born 1998 as a follow up to Steve Bug's former label Raw Elements and features mainly deep and reduced club sound with percussive elements as well as funky collages of minimal dance. A short abridgement of the artist roster: Steve Bug, Trentemoller, Märtini Bros, Martin Landsky, Guido Schneider, John Tejada, Argy....

Dessous Recordings
Dessous Recordings was founded in 1998 by Berlin based top DJ and producer Steve Bug as a forum for deep house and house in general orientated dance music. Within 6 years Dessous Recordings managed to establish itself within the first league of international dance labels. A short abridgement of the artist roster: Phonqiue, Vincenzo, bgb, Gamat 3000...

Founded in 2006 by Steve Bug initially as a side label to the seminal Poker Flat Recordings, and a medium to release music that neither fitted to Poker Flat or Dessous. Audiomatique was created as a playground for modern Techno- and House music in the broadest sense. Shortly after, the young imprint started to build its own signature sound.

The first highlight on Audiomatique was the massive worldwide clubhit Physical Fraction' by Anders Trentemoller - the record that kicked it all off for the danish shooting star & which appears here in a special Martinez edit that isn't available elsewhere. Another strong clubhit was the Martinez' Shadowboxing' which comes with a brilliant Trentemoller remix.
Further 12 inches featured great works by producers like Rob Acid, Jussi-Pekka, DK7's Mark O'Sullivan, John Dahlback, Thomas Barnett and the first label compilation 'Audiomatique 1.0' on CD and two 12 inches.

Poker Flat Presents Maik Loewen

Poker Flat Presents Maik Loewen

Since Maik swapped his drum kit for a synthesizer and a 303 in the nineties he became totally addicted to electronic music. Fortunately he didn't swap his rhythmic talent and so both his DJ sets and his productions offer brilliant and subtle rhythm constructions. His first releases on Tonsport ("Arnika" 2002), Trapez ("Ein Jahr ein Monat" 2004) and Karmarouge ("Mescal", 2004) proved already that Maik is at the forefront of talented artists emerging from Cologne, Germany.

His deep understanding for functional sounds enables Maik to playfully produce upfront clubmusic. Released in the Poker Flat White series, his lates EP "Even If You Sleep" captivates by the straight dancefloor functionality charged with many elaborate, subtle details and brilliant sounds. Not to forget the huge portion of groovy funkiness. The three tracks on the EP nicely explore different nuances of Maik Loewen's sound.
