Pedro Datana
First influenced by San Francisco house music in the middle 90's, Pedro Datana became a basfull lover of techno music from Detroit, as well as Chicago and New-York house music at the end of 90's.

In these sounds he disovered a particular spirit, an incomparable warmth and a strong claim which became his leitmotiv: defend of an ethics through the music, made of integrity and artistic intransigence. He adopts the values and sounds transmetted by the pionneers like UR, Derrick May, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills and Baisc Channel.

After 12 years, he remains an activist DJ without uncompromising. Pedro is looking for a music where the BPM are less important than the sound texture, the harmonies and this amazing groove, and remains decidely discrete during his sets in order to let the listeners focus on the sound. Therefore, only the feelings and vibes of the music can reach the public’s mind. He is also a stubborn defendant of vinyl which is the strongest symbol of Techno and electronic music identity and soul.

His mixes oscilliate between a cool melodic and groovy techno, a soft minimal one and strange original sounds. His goal is to tell his own story through his mixes all along his sets, and to expose himself...

Pedro wants also to start in a few weeks an another journey, in parallel of deejaying, trying to compose his own tracks and express his creativity as producer.

He also the administrator of the french website GO TO DETROIT ( http://www.gotodetroit.com ), dedicated to the american electronic music, and more generally to an exigent and creative electronic music.
