Weather is something you have to live with. First weeks of July were cold, rainy and windy in Amsterdam. Seemed like summer will never arrive. So here is the musical yearning for summer. Summer music when the summer is not there in summertime.

This is my afterparty dj set at the Barana Festival. Barana is a Turkish - Dutch world-jazz group. http://barana.nl/ I mixed here a combination of acoustic and electronic music made or inspired by the musicians with strong ethnic consciousness. Be it shangaan electro, juke or Bollywood, I was digging for musical gems with a REAL feeling of the roots. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it.
