Monday morning and as the rest of Europe gears up for work, on a certain Balearic Island a few hundred are getting down to the serious business of partying. They are professional party-goers, and there's only one place they want to go to Circoloco @ Dc10, a party that has acquired legendary status through quiet whispers and word of mouth, and yes, the rumours are true, Pete Tong and Norman Cook played here unannounced. Sara Cox calls Circoloco her favourite club, despite waking up in the car park next to John Carter. Sasha was also found outside, face down with money flying out of his pocket. And when Danny Tenaglia finishes one of his secret sets, he likes to play traffic warden, directing cars and guiding people across the bushy road on both sides. Due to the low-profiled attitude that naturally contaminates everyone - no matter how famous - who join its parties, Circoloco is a true international club. In fact, it is more international than an all - star team, and this is why it can twist the rules: rather than promoters tracing djs, it's djs who hound the promoters to play there, and the club doesn't use the name to attract the crowd because the party's reputation relies on its unique atmosphere and on the strength of its residents. Circoloco sprang into existence in 1999, when Italians Andrea Pelino and Antonio decided to throw a daytime party. The following year Cirillo and an international devoted crowd completed the team alongside residents Tania Vulcano, Fabrizio and Jo Mills. The team then called Charlie Chester to act as press-agent and to establish and maintain open the communication line with emerging international djs. Over the years, Circoloco has established itself as a solid underground, non-compromising party organisation. Its credibility comes from the fact that it is outside of the mass-media hype of most of the dance music businesses. Its chaotic and anarchic organisation is the secret of the magic of its parties. The password being 'its a mess but we know what we're doing!' wherever it goes in the world, Circoloco confirms its incredible skill to make people have fun…you know who we are 'Sorry We are Circo Loco' www.recordstore.co.uk
