Robin Ball is creator of the GroovePressure and Groove Pleasure label and radio shows, and the club night Socialeyes.
Socialeyes is Robin’s club night which he’s been running since 2006, hosting special one-off events in cool venues around London, including the acclaimed boat parties. Always pushing open-minded, forward thinking electronic dance music on only the best sound systems in intimate fun spaces. Upcoming Socialeyes parties include another boat party on 14th August, and club night at Corsica Studios on 25th September.
Robin set up the Groovepressure and Groove Pleasure record labels in London, releasing tracks by himself and the likes of Terry Francis and Harold Heath. Then he moved to Montpellier in the South of France. It was here that the Groovepressure and Groove Pleasure club nights were born, these nights were the talk of the town as Robin called upon many of dance music’s luminaries to join him at the Rive Gauche club and then Villa Rouge. Guests included Andrew Weatherall, Stacey Pullen,Terry Francis, Colin Dale, Luke Solomon, Funk D’Void, Silicone Soul, Colin Dale, Mark Broom and many more.
Robin continued working and living in France until 2005, when he returned to London and toured the UK festivals where the dream of “Socialeyes” was born. With many aspirations and a passion still burning strong, Robin isn’t putting away his music boots any time soon.
