Ghostly International presents...
Ann Arbor, Michigan's Ghostly International was created in 1999 by Sam Valenti IV in his dorm room at the University of Michigan. Since then, the label has become one of America's premier channels for forward-thinking music, from abstract electronics to avant-pop. Home to artists such as Dabrye, Mobius Band, Kill Memory Crash, Midwest Product, and Lusine, Ghostly celebrates a diversity of styles that run the electronic gamut.

Ghostly emphasizes the artist behind the machines, the personalities that drive this music. Through its release history, including the acclaimed Disco Nouveau and Idol Tryouts compilations, the label has received praise from critics and music buyers alike. Ghostly International and Spectral Sound, true to their art historical roots, focus on a strong visual presence and an eye for the smallest detail. The labels provide the complete package, and are capable of earning trust across a myriad of styles and incarnations.

Ghostly Presents Kill Memory Crash

For over 10 years, Alex and Adam of Chicago's Kill Memory Crash have been developing their own blend of dark electronic music, influenced by the sleaze and decay of modern life. Having started their musical career in Detroit, Kill Memory Crash began performing at raves and warehouse parties in the mid-to-late 90's, slowly translating their leftfield influences into their own cryptic language. Because of their divided approach, the duo was forced to develop their own style, with early works resembling dark chasms of industrial noise underscored by rigorously precise rhythms. Their indifference to the popular styles of the day led them into an almost self-imposed exile from the music business and only extremely limited vinyl pressings ever surfaced until they joined Ghostly International in 2002.

Alex and Adam have honed their music to its current state -- a sinister blend of industrial, glitched-out electro, and ambient -- working away at the boundaries that held them as outsiders until now. Their 2003 debut mini-LP When The Blood Turns Black proved a fine introduction to the Ghostly brand, and their debut full-length American Automatic followed in spring of 2005.
