We had the privilege of presenting a live performance by 23 year old London based producer James Rutledge under his Pedro moniker at our recent 5th Birthday celebrations as part of the Futuresonic festival in Manchester in early May. It's difficult to describe James' music and making comparisons to Four Tet's unique sound composition abilities is no small compliment. Pedro offers a new, unique approach to his method of perfectly combining a seemingly unfitting mix of sounds, presented most recently on his latest album, 'You, Me & Everyone' (released in May on Mush Records) and extended and twisted beyond comprehension in this recording of his live performance.
Listen to the show and you'll understand why the unending praise and promise heaped on James from media and critics across the world is, on this occasion, well justified.
