Original Cultures present Red-i & John Type
To celebrate the 12th edition of the Italian IDA (ex-ITF) championships the organisers asked John Type, one of the longest standing Italian scratch DJs and producers, to put together a special mix. The result is a 25 minute trip, a dense collage of mash-ups, remixes, samples and songs in the finest tradition.
This year the championships are moving away from the now stale grounds of DJ battles, having chosen to do invite-only face-offs between DJs as well as producers. In addition there will also be showcases by upcoming DJs/producers and a live show from Videominds, one of Italy's most exciting underground acts, blending electro and dancefloor sensibilities with the raw energy and hype of hip hop.
