Futuristic Ethiopian disco may sound like a concept abstracted from reality but, probably not surprisingly, Legowelt's mind doesn't operate just in the known world. Creating a 22nd century hypnotic groove from a collection of vintage analogue synths and delays is a talent that only a true artist can imagine and only a true geek can execute. Luckily Aaron Wolfers is both.
Touching down in London to perform as part of the samurai.fm + Phonica Kindred Spirits party In June Legowelt was joined by Tom Trago, another KS artist whose productions have won him fans amongst some of electronic music's elite. His latest release on Rush Hour is a remix project that has contributions from some of the hottest new electronic music talent around, Actress, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Yurotrago.
