Who Wants The Funk with Marcus Vector

Who Wants The Funk with Marcus Vector

'We Got The Funk‚' is a brand new show out of Berlin, brought to you by the mafia behind TuningSpork, Contexterrior and Toys For Boys. For the first installment, we've decided to introduce you to Marcus Vector, co-founder of Toys For Boys Reords and half the duo D.I.Y. With this mix, Marcus blends classic and new tracks from the TuningSpork catalog. Among the 14 tracks, he's included DJ Sneak's remix of Jay Haze, Wasted Chicago Youth (the newest project from Justin Long and Mazi Namvar), and an unreleased D.I.Y. cut.

Marcus Vector is a French DJ/producer active in Brussels since the late 90s. At first, under the moniker Celophane, he DJed at parties with several Warp and Rephlex artists throughout Europe. In 2004, Marcus met Sierra Sam in Germany, which led to the birth of Toys For Boys Records and a long love affair with music. Most recently, Mr. Vector has shared the DJ booth with people like Jay Haze, Quenum, Alex Smoke, and Wighonomy Brothers, in many of the best locations in Europe such as Fuse (Brussels), Tresor (Berlin), NAME Festival (Lille) and Monza (Frankfurt). In addition to his techno productions, he has also been focusing on house material with Sam under the project name D.I.Y. (Dumb Irresonsible Youth).
