Konnichi Wah Wah Feat. Mitsuru Ogawa
Working as a buyer of Dance Music Records (the largest new vinyl only store in Japan) Mitsuru Ogawa is introducing good music from over the world to Japan and is partly responsible for developing Japanese jazz scene over the last 10 years.
As a DJ, Mitsuru plays at clubs all over Japan and has regular parties with local likeminded musicians and producers such as Jazztronik. Mitsu has also played with many worldwide DJs such as Jazzanova, Rainer Truby, and Alex Attias in Japan. As a writer his articles and reviews are published in Japanese music and culture magazines such as Remix & Marquee. Also as a writer Mitsuru has made liner notes for over 100 titles, and made columns for some books such as "Double Standard", "Fusionism", "Brisa Brasileira", etc.
Last year he made a disc guidebook called "Jazz Next Standard", and is in the middle of writing a new book.
