Eat Concrete Radio with Pete Concrete and friends

Eat Concrete is an independent musiclabel founded in 2006 by Pete Concrete. The label has strong roots in the Dutch 'electronics scene' but has quickly developed from a local network into an international platform of like-minded artists.

The label is influenced and inspired by a wide spectrum of musicians, producers and styles. By combining and connecting a great variety of music Eat Concrete creates it's own style and a context for music to thrive in.

After a series of groundbreaking and critically acclaimed projects Eat Concrete has shown itself to be one of the most progressive and original recordlabels in new electronic music; No-nonsense, straight-up and to the point, but also open-minded and free spirited.

Eat Concrete Sept 2010 - Aardvarck - 'Choice' release special + liveset

Eat Concrete Sept 2010 - Aardvarck - 'Choice' release special + liveset

Finally it's here: Aardvarck delivers his second full length album for Eat Concrete, titled 'Choice'. It offers 22 tracks and is a definite classic. After the previously released vinyl sampler we received massive support, including Radiohead's Thom Yorke putting it on his favourites list.
With 'Choice', Aardvarck has created one of his finest selections to date. The album is introduced by the Gaslamp Killer, kicks off with the beautiful 'Lucky Shot' featuring female vocals by Alexandra and continues with cinematic and hypnotising ambient-like pieces before the bass kicks in with 'Breaking Bad'. From then onward we are treated with songs similair to some of the 'Bloom' releases, displaying a taste for heavy bass, beats and dub samples.

This special broadcast offers a mix thru the album, extending it with forthcoming and previously released tracks for Eat Concrete Records. It finishes off with an unheard Aardvarck / Cult Copy liveset mashup.

Roel Funcken, one half of Dutch electronica duo Funckarma, delivers the 'Daze Flextone EP', his solo debut for Eat Concrete Records.
This EP highlights the latest take on his Dubstep-fused electronica experiments and the result is energetic, original and extremely heavy.

For this occasion Funcken has cooked up a massive DJ Set featuring 3 tracks from the EP as well as other material by himself, Reso, 16bit, Hecq and Skism to only name a few. The result is devastating.

NUTRIOT.com:
"Every now and then Eat Concrete founder Pete puts together a mixtape for you. I haven’t been disappointed once, instead I count his mixes to my alltime favourites.
Once again Pete Concrete proves his knowledge of bass-heavy music from the last decade, making this another much recommended download."
