To find oneself studying cello and composition by day, at one of the most prestigious English schools: the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and then to embrace the night by throwing oneself into most sordid mix of jam sessions, to the beat of grime, gripping the microphone and belting out rhymes and verses invented in the moment. Then, being able to count on the most illustrious of mentors: Matthew Herbert. In short: to find two friends, The Shapes, with whom to create a jewel of an album (literally too: the title is "Jewellery") that is immediately produced by Rough Trade, the label which is the real and authentic story of Indie Rock.
