Deep Inside Show with Alex G
Alex grew up in Dublin, Ireland where he learned to play the violin at an early age and fell in love with his Mum's old disco records.
Stories of DJs such as Ron Hardy and Larry Levan inspired Alex to start djing and mixing old disco with house music and the violin was tossed aside!
Early house records from artists like Masters at Work and Kerri Chandler were big influences and Alex soon became a regular on Dublin's party scene.
Regular slots at clubs such as the Pod, Spirit, Metropolitan, Spy and Traffic enabled Alex to enhance his djing style and learn how to work different dancefloors.
Invitations to dj on Irish national radio stations such as 2fm and fm104 were soon followed by a weekly House show on Jazz FM and regular appearances on Nova947.

Since then Alex has moved to London where he started the Deep Inside project. Deep Inside showcases the very latest in house,
disco and techno music, always programmed with a nod to history and featuring future classics.
The Deep Inside show features upcoming and recently established underground artists as guests with regular interviews and mixes.
To date the show has had guests such as Nick Curly (8bit, Cecille), Chris Woodward (Buzzin Fly), Edwin Oosterwal (Rejected),
Owain K (Elevation), Robbie Lowe (Beatcode), Anthony Mansfield (Hector Wroks) and others and has plenty more exciting guests to come."

Deep Inside Show presents Alex Jones

Deep Inside Show presents Alex Jones

The Hypercolour imprint had a superb start to 2011. With the successes of Maya-Jane Coles, Axel Boman and its Glass Table/Losing Suki offshoots, the London-based label has become the focus of well-deserved hype from punters, DJs, dance mags and the ‘blogosphere’.

Alongside Cedric Maison (and more recently, Ste Roberts), Alex Jones has pushed Hypercolour to become a truly noteworthy and essential label that doesn’t rely on clichés or trends. His A&R, design work for the label, DJing, residency at London’s superb HybridLife parties and releases for Playhouse/Tsuba/Kindisch all add up to an enviable CV.

Alex's recent ‘Disappointing Dancefloors’ ep – a hefty nod to Jones’ self-deprecating humour and frustration at formulaic music – is a release that represents Jones and the Hypercolour ethic perfectly.
Whether it’s the oddball treatment of vocals and synths, over-loud snares or brutal use of EQ, ‘Disappointing Dancefloors’ rides roughshod over tried and tested formulas without ever losing sight of, ironically, the dancefloor, in true Hypercolor fashion.

Alex's forward-thinking mix for Deep Inside is comprised of a number of recent collaborations with a well known partner in crime and other unreleased material and is simply un-missable as one of the top dj mixes of 2011 so far.

Arguably Leicester's finest deep house producer, Ali Gibb's aka Nebraska has provided us here at Deep Inside with a rare and sensual deep and funky mix. We are truly privileged since Nebraska's output is really few and far between... from his debut on Player recordings in 2000 to his recent EP's over the last few years on the excellent Rush Hour Recordings. Every EP has been majestic and none more so than his most recent EP "Four For Four" (Rush Hour), a blend of rough beats, eclectic disco and deep house. The title track "This is the way" is a tried and tested Bomb!
