Nadja Lind presents Klartraum
As the world catches on to the music and live performances of Klartraum duo Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch, the pair look to the release of their deep yet wonderfully eclectic second album ‘Secret moon’… To celebrate we present you with this awesome 90 minute mix from Nadja.
Berlin based Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch have been working together for over five years now, but it is in the last twelve months that the duo’s Klartraum project has really come to prominence. Both Nadja & Helmut have a solid musical history recording for the likes of Darkroom Dubs, Soma & Morris Audio yet it is through their shared musical output that they have really captured the imagination, producing deep and moving electronic music that fuses elements of techno, house and electronica.
Out of the studio the duo have taken their sound on the road, performing as Klartraum live at London’s Fabric, the infamous Ukrainian festival Kazantip and Goa’s renowned Shanti club to rave reviews and rapturous response. In the coming months they will also be appearing at dates in Australia and across Europe.
‘Secret Moon’ is a rich and diverse collection of tracks that reflect Klartraum’s journey since the release of their debut LP, ‘Evolution’ in 2011. From the opening atmospheric ambient recording of ‘Berlin Intro’ it’s clear that this is not to be a straight-laced ‘club’ album but rather a body of work that ebbs and flows through styles and sounds with little regard for genre. Downtempo cuts such as the breakbeat based ‘Something Wrong’ or the off kilter ‘Universe’ add a depth and variety to the mix yet Klartraum’s production skill and musical sensibilities work to make the album work as a whole. There is a deep hypnotizing feel to this whole album, keeping you locked into the experience as the album progresses. Tracks such as the epic ‘Secret Moon’ and the sublime ‘Sell Your Soul’ have an almost cinematic feel to them; drawn out, spacious and mesmerizing. Klartraum’s 2011 debut was a real achievement but ‘Secret Moon’ takes things to the next level with a strength and energy that is tempered with an audible maturity of production.
Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch have their own way of creating music, making much of both their spiritual leanings and their hands of approach to ‘jamming’ out tracks live. Whatever it is that drives them it certainly works, for Klartraum are rapidly becoming an act that cannot ignored, making great music and taking it to the world via their passionate live performance. Delano Smith's attention to programming sets that are kinetic, emotional and educational are met with a delivery of the highest class. Having been one of the original young guns personally mentored by Motown’s 1st DJ, Ken Collier, he displays skills entirely unique to this group. Having cut his teeth in a time when an aspiring DJ had to live off his wits to make the cut, his dynamic skill set has made him the real Detroit head's secret favorite. Smith's extended hiatus later in his DJ years was ended spectacularly when the Detroit Beatdown project again highlighted his talent. Teamed with Mike ‘Agent X' Clark and Norm Talley, the crew began to spread the word of Detroit to fresh audiences, in demand globally and touching down at renowned clubs such as London's Fabric en route.

Maher Daniel is a DJ/producer based out of Montreal, Canada and a name that you will be hearing much more of over the course of 2011 and beyond.
The name ‘Maher’ means ‘excellence’ in his native tongue and this standard is one that has been adhered to since he made his production debut on 2009’s ‘Casbar’ on Get Physical. Further releases have followed on labels such as Souvenir Music and Roots and Wings, but a gaze in to the future shows a stunning run of releases and an opportunity to share his excellence with you.
His collaboration with Matthew Dekay on Monique Special is a highlight of a sequence of four releases which has transported his name and reputation far beyond the walls of the famous Stereo Club in Montreal where he currently holds his DJ residency. Maher has recently released some excellent solo productions on a few of the world’s hottest labels, ‘Icaros’ on Rekids, ‘Open Concept’ on Souvenir and ‘3rd Time Is A Charm’on Joris Voorn’s Rejected imprint.
His residency at Stereo regularly sees Maher playing alongside the biggest names in the industry such as Lee Burridge, Clive Henry, Audiofly, Adam Beyer and Josh Wink – which befits a club regularly named in the world’s top 20. Maher has also guested at festivals such as Creamfields Abu Dhabi, Piknic Electronik and Igloo Fest and last Summer saw Maher's debut in Europe where he played at clubs such as Watergate, Bar25, Golden Gate, Cute Club Poland and Vozduh Moscow.

Inom is one side of Magnus Johanssons production (the other being Bam Spacey which is signed to Ceremony Recordings: Bam Spacey) that focuses more on minimal/dub/deep. It's a varied output with experimental ambient tracks, as well as danceable melodic numbers. Inom is the playground where there are no set rules and the releases tend to vary.
