DJ Simon S from Break Reform and Abstract Blue Recordings guides you through all things Abstract Blue in this new show on Samurai.fm.
Soul, Jazz & Hip-Hop old and new are the building blocks for this series with Abstract Blue label exclusives providing the cement locking the musical elements together creating a varied and challenging selection.
Abstract Blue Recordings has been releasing music for over 3 years for artists such as Break Reform, Low Budget Soul, D'Nell and many more.
2006 will see a vast volume of work being released by new artists including Stark, Aztec Productions and Kamara plus albums by Low Budget Soul and a remix project from Break Reform.
Simon S has been Djing for over 15 years and is renowned for his unique mixing skills fusing a blend of soulful beats. He holds down five residencies in London, is a regular guest at Russ Dewbury's 'Jazz Rooms' in Brighton and enjoys numerous trips around Europe playing in Madrid, Lisbon, Munich, Berlin and Stockholm amongst others.
Simon has also played along side DJ's Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova & Mad Mats (Raw Fusion) for Giant Step in NYC. He recently returned from his third tour of Japan playing at theTokyo Crossover Jazz Festival to 3000 people and at the infamous eRoom' with the Kyoto Jazz Massive and Patrick Forge.
